Sam Dunn's documentary will explore the history
and influence of Rush. The release date is rumored to be in 2009. Dunn said of
the documentary in May 2008, "Well, it's in the early stages yet. It's not a film
that's going to be based around a particular tour like the [Iron] Maiden doc.
It's going to be more of a history of the band and a chronicle or testament to
their influence over the years. Because you guys know how influential Rush is on
musicians and we just feel that nobody's ever really told their story."
Neil has hinted at a new book about "Roadcraft,"
based on his news updates throughout the Snakes & Arrows tour. I'll
post more information as I get it.
2010 - New Rush

Alex Lifeson has stated in recent interviews
(August 2009) that he would like to start on the new album in the Fall of 2009.
I'm not sure how this is going to work with the arrival of a baby for Neil Peart
and Carrie Nuttall in the Summer of 2009. Stay tuned.
2009 ArchiveNow: Drum Channel - Master Class with Neil Peart
Neil discusses a wide spectrum of musical concepts. He
plays and analyzes his solo from the Snakes & Arrows
tour, the tune "Malignant Narcissism," and his warm up
routine. The class includes a bonus drum jam with Neil,
Terry Bozzio, and Joey Heredia.
Now: Bubba's Bar 'n' Grill
Neil launched a new food and cooking section on his website called
Bubba's Bar 'n' Grill on July 4, 2009.
Here's what I said when I first saw it: "Being a man who's
cooking-challenged (or just plain lazy), I have to say I appreciate this
section of Neil's website. In perusing the introduction and the recipes,
I've already gleaned a few ideas that may eventually help me impress my
family. I'll report back!"

exhibit called MotoStars: Celebrities + Motorcycles
opened on June 28, 2008, at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in Columbus, Ohio. The
exhibit will be on display through February 2009.
Featured in the exhibit is Neil Peart's 1994
BMW R1100GS motorcycle and his R30 drum kit (also known as "S.S.
Professor").
This film is still being shown in the film festival circuit. No news yet about whether it
will be distributed beyond festivals. See this

Neil is producing and playing at this concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in
NYC, NY. He'll be joined by Terry Bozzio, John Blackwell, and Nick Rich (Buddy
Rich's Grandson).
